Dota 2 Frostivus is not Happening Anymore, Why am I Not Surprised?

The end of the year event for the MOBA has been cancelled. Dota 2 Frostivus was supposed to be held alongside the holiday season, like last year; but it has been cancelled, like last year again!

When the event was announced some time back, the Dota 2 Frostivus teaser website chanted “nothing could possibly go wrong.” Ironically, something did. The same website has announced the cancellation saying:

“By decree of the only king that matters, Frostivus is cancelled.”

From the looks of it, the only king that matters could either be the recently removed Skeleton King or the soon to be unveiled Wraith King. What are your thoughts?

As it seems, the Skeleton King was also removed following the announcement of the cancellation of Dota 2 Frostivus. Right now, his icon is also missing from the top of the Frostivus page though he does appear in the hero library, except that he isn’t selectable.

Could it be that we are looking at a replacement of the Skeleton King by the Wraith King?

Dota 2 Frostivus for 2012 was replaced by another event; The Greeviling. More information is expected later today and we shall let you know about the event that is going to replace Frostivus this year.
