Tomb Raider GOTY Edition Coming out in January for $29.99

Not everyone has bought a next generation console and the fact that the next generation is here doesn’t mean PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 would be ignored. Evidence for that: The Tomb Raider GOTY Edition.

Indeed it is a little weird that Square Enix is not lumping this up with the Tomb Raider Definitive Edition but it is coming out nevertheless. According to the listing on Amazon, both the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 versions will be released on January 28 for $29.99.

“Armed only with raw instincts and the ability to push beyond the limits of human endurance, Lara must fight to unravel the dark history of a forgotten island to escape its relentless hold. Also includes all Downloadable Content.”

All the downloadable content will be included in the package according to the cover of the game but no details have been provided about the usual additional goodies that are shipped with the game of the year editions.

You get to guide Lara through physics puzzles, challenging environments, and a high-octane story to overcome a harrowing situation and make it off the island alive. As the game proceeds, enemies get tougher to kill, a weapons upgrade system will help to keep you competent with them.

Tomb Raider Game of the Year Edition is available for pre-order now if you wish to or you can wait until January 28 when it releases officially.
