Peggle’s popularity is quickly transitioning over to Peggle 2 and is causing Xbox One owners to go in a frenzy over the new installment of PopCap’s casual puzzler. However, the lack of local multiplayer has caused frowns to appear on fans.
Jared Neuss, producer at PopCap Games, has adhered to the requests and has come out to confirm that the feature would be added in the near feature.
“So, now that Peggle 2 is out in the world, what are we doing? While I can’t reveal too much, I’m happy to announce that we’re currently focused on bringing you a multiplayer mode that may sound familiar to Peggle veterans: Duels!” he wrote on the developer’s Facebook page.
“This new mode will enable players to compete against each other, in the same room or across the Internet, head-to-head on the same board. We loved Duel mode in the original Peggle and can’t wait to bring it into the updated world of Peggle 2!”
Neuss did not mention any release date for the patch but did say that it’s going to be free for all Peggle 2 players.
Peggle 2 was supposed to be a launch title for the Xbox One but missed out on the date and was released just this week. The game is still an Xbox exclusive title and there’s no word on when or if this exclusive would end.
So, what do you make of Peggle 2 DLC? Is it something you were longing for?
