343 Industries is working with Turn 10 Studios to create a Halo: Spartan Assault car that will be provided in limited quantities to players in Forza Motorsport 5.
The car, which is a 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302, will be covered in an exclusive Halo: Spartan Assault skin with the 343 Industries’ logo. You can see the car for yourself in the video provided above.
According to Turn 10 Studios, the car will be gifted to Forza Motorsport 5 VIP members later this month, probably just before Christmas.
This isn’t the first time that both studios have worked in collaboration to bring forth something new in the Forza franchise. It’s predecessor, Forza 4, saw to the addition of the UNSC’s Warthog vehicle but was only viewable via Autovista. The Halo: Spartan Assault car though will be drivable in-game as suggested by the images posted by Halo Waypoint.
More details have been promised to follow in the coming weeks.
In related news, Halo: Spartan Assault has been confirmed by Microsoft to release for the Xbox One on December 24. The Xbox 360 version has been pushed back to a release in January 2014.
