Keiji Inafune’s KAIO King of Pirates Delayed Yet Again for Unknown Reason

The highly awaited action adventure by Intercept has been delayed again. KAIO King of Pirates was supposed to be released one of these days originally but the game’s website suggests that is not how it’s going to be.

Keiji Inafune the creator of Mega Man is leading the game development for KAIO King of Pirates since a couple of years, which is one of the key reasons why it is being anticipated by the community since it was announced in 2011.

The game is supposed to be a role playing game with multiplayer elements and is going to star pirate penguin Sangokushi along with nearly 300 other characters ranging from dragons, monkeys, cows and of course penguins.

KAIO King of Pirates was originally slated for a 2012 release date and was pushed down a year to 2013; now that 2013 is nearly over we have been told that we will have to wait for 2014. No specific date has been mentioned on the website though.

One apparent reason for the delay could be the fact that Keiji Inafune already has a lot on his plate. He is working on Soul Sacrifice Delta, Mega Man-esque Mighty No. 9 and Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z.

Are you still eager to play this game or indifferent like many others could have become by now?
