Dead Space Developer is Working on a Filmic Looking New IP, It’s Not Star Wars

We do know that Visceral Games (Dead Space Developer) is working on an unnamed Star Wars game already but that has been going on for a while now. What’s new for the Redwood Shores studio of Electronic Arts is that they are hiring for yet another project now.

IGN has picked up a couple of job listings on the EA website’s careers page that show Visceral Games is looking for an Environmental Artist and a Technical Art Director.

The reason why we are confident this is a new IP is because of what the job overview reads on the website:

“This is a major opportunity to greatly contribute creatively to an exciting new IP,” goes on the post. “Environment Artists are responsible for building the in game environment geometry and props.”

In the description of the slightly older Technical Art Director it states that they are looking for someone who is “passionate about bringing a filmic look to next-gen games and who has the skillset to do it.”

Of course the ads also refer to fire, smoke, explosions and rigid body destruction but then again that is what EA has been doing in many of their AAA games in the recent years. In short, the ads have been written up skillfully to ensure nothing is given away.

So, apart from the expected Dead Space sequel and a next generation Star Wars game, what else do you think Visceral Games could be working on?
