Undoubtedly, one of the most eagerly anticipated of the next generation tittles, Bungie’s Destiny has been sought after since it’s gameplay was demoed back at E3 in June. Ultimately, we now have a Destiny Release Date and we call can mark our calenders.
The news came in through a post on the official website of Bungie today. The post reads:
“Today, in partnership with Activision, we are proud to announce that the worldwide launch of Destiny will happen on September 9th. Accordingly, the Destiny Beta will kick off in the summer of 2014, available first on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.”
When the game was showcased in summers this year, the development team had promised to deliver a game that would change our perception of Bungie’s games. That and the claim that Destiny will change the way people play games altogether, makes me want to wait for it as long as required.
Other major aspects to note are that since Bungie completed work on Halo, this will be their first game. This means that they are surely going to give it everything they have; remember how hard it is to match the expectations?
Also, this is going to be their first ever game to have been developed for both the rival consoles i.e. Xbox and PlayStation.
Come September 9, 2014 Destiny will be released to PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
