Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Patch 2.1 Detailed, New PvP Arena and More

Square Enix has detailed Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Patch 2.1 ahead of its December 17 launch.

The highlight of the update is a mysterious crystal tower that “has been unearthed in the wake of the Calamity”. It’s said to house forgotten relics, secrets, mysteries; all of which is being guarded by a horde of monsters. This is a new 24 players dungeon.

A new PvP arena by the name of “The Wolves’ Den” will be opened up. Three new plots will be available for purchase on which players can start building and customizing their house.

A new quest that has players befriending an aesthetician of great talent will unlock new options for your toon’s hairstyle, face paint and more. An abandoned lighthouse housing a seductress and her legion of undead minions will also be present.

Three new daily Beast Tribe quests, a treasure hunt, and more are going to be waiting for you when the patch hits by the end of the month.

The timing couldn’t be more perfect. With the holidays in sight, Final Fantasy XIV players can keep themselves busy and go through each of the new content that Square is pushing forward towards you.
