Bohemia Interactive, makers of the critically acclaimed and Mod Friendly Arma Series as well as the mod-inspired DAYZ standalone edition, has announced a contest encouraging modders from around the world to make mods for their latest title Arma 3.
The participants of the contest named “Make Arma Not War” will get a chance of winning €500,000 along with the opportunity of working for Bohemia Interactive.
The contest is divided into 4 categories: Total Modification, Single Player Game Mode, Multiplayer Game Mode and Addon.
The Prize Money is divided into 4 parts with Total Modification getting the major bulk of €200,000 and the rest being split based on positions in the remaining 3 categories:
- 1st place with €50,000
- 2nd place with €30,000
- 3rd place with €20,000
The Team whose project(s) show the most potential will be be given the chance of working with Bohemia Interactive on Contract regardless of winning the contest.
Although the application period starts in 2014 and submission period ends on October 28 2014, modders are encouraged to get a head start on their projects.
The jury will be composed of a team of Bohemia Interactive and other Videogame Industry professionals who will evaluate the 20 finalists in the Single Player Mode and 10 each in the remaining categories.
