This week’s Japanese Jump magazine has revealed that a sequel is in development for Bravely Default on the 3DS called Bravely Second.
Bravely Second is going to be set in the same world players experienced in the original role-playing title but will take place several years after the events of the first. Fans might be excited to know that a new silver-haired character “Magnolia” is being introduced in the new installment, information of whom is unknown at this time.
Bravely Default: For The Sequel will release in Europe on Friday, December 6 and in North America on February 7, 2014. It’s an improved version of the original where the developers tweaked and re-balanced the game with plenty of changes. Localization with the original title took more than a year, and we can assume the same to happen with Bravely Second.
Bravely Default: Flying Fairy was a great success for Square Enix in Japan, and that success is expected to move over to the West as well.
A release date for Bravely Second has not been mentioned, and currently it has only been announced for the 3DS.
