During the PlayStation Awards 2013, Namco Bandai announced a big God Eater 2 Patch that will bring forth online multiplayer on the Vita title. While the game is also available on the PSP, the multiplayer patch is seemingly being aimed at the Vita alone.
Namco Bandai didn’t mention as to when the patch can be expected but said that they have started working on the said feature. Look for it next year.
Last month, God Eater 2 released in Japan and sold more than 380,000 copies in the first week alone across both platforms. 266,326 of this figure were sold on the Vita, while the PSP version catered to 112,024 copies.
Those are pretty impressive sale figures for the game and the game is still in high demand, having sold more than 70 percent in its opening month.
This year’s PlayStation Awards saw to Grand Theft Auto 5 taking home the Platinum Prize, having sold more than a million copies in its opening day. You can check out the rest of titles that made the cut here.
