The massively multiplayer online role playing game Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn was attuned for a release to the next generation but so far we had not received a confirmed release date. Square Enix has finally broken the ice on that and confirmed that the game will be released to PlayStation 4 in April 2014.
Siliconera reported the news along with the announcement that the game will also get a Beta Testing prior to the full release on PlayStation 4.
The beta version of the game has been slated for release on February 22, coinciding the PlayStation 4 launch day in Japan.
Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn was originally released to Windows on September 22, 2010 and revolves around 4 playable races namely Miqo’te, Roegadyn, Lalafell, Elezen and Hyur. You will join the challenging battle to save the land of Eorzea.
If you have not decided upon Final Fantasy 14 on PS4 yet, it would be great to get your hands on the beta test when time comes, or maybe you’d just want to play the PlayStation 3 version and later upgrade it to the next generation version.
Doing so will result in you losing your claim to the game on PlayStation 3, but then again who would want to play the game on PlayStation 3 if they have it on PlayStation 4 – don’t you think?
