EA Registers Desert Strike Trademark, Possible Reboot?

Electronic Arts has filed a Trademark for Desert Strike. An Isometric Shooter released on the Amiga, Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) and the Sega Genesis back in 1992 and a PC release in 1994.

Desert Strike had several sequels: Urban Strike, Nuclear Strike, Jungle strike, Soviet Strike. The game was set to have a fifth sequel “Future Strike” but was released “Future Cop: LAPD” in which the player commandeers a Hover Car that can transform into a Battle-Mech.

In Desert Strike, you play as a AH-64 Apache Heli (pilot) during the Gulf War. Missions range from taking down enemy bases to rescuing Prisoners of War, in one mission you are tasked to protect the President of the United States as well.

Desert Strike and its sequels were published by Electronic Arts so it’s quite obvious the game will be getting a remake for the Next-Generation Consoles.
