Kudos to the Japanese folks! Lightning Returns was released in Japan on November 21 but those who are still unsure whether they want to buy it or not can now test the game through a demo released by Square Enix.
According to Siliconera, the developer released Final Fanstay 13: Lightning Returns Demo to the Japanese public which is actually the same section that was displayed at E3. Through the demo, gamers will be able to try out the game with a single character combat system fighting against the dragon boss Zaltys. Zaltys is supposed to come in the early stages of the full game.
You also get to take screenshots and using the Outworld feature, post them to your Twitter or Facebook profile. An additional costume accompanies the demo as well.
Other than this, new DLC content has been released for those who have already purchased the game in Japan. The contents have the Ultimate Liberator Set including the Celestial Garb as well as Excalibur Sword and Aegis Shield.
There is the Holy Asgard Set that will bring you Cosmo Curator Garb, Abyss Gate Shield as well as the Corcea Mors weapon. Each of the costume is priced at 400 Yen i.e. $4 each or a total of 1000 Yen ($10) for all of them.
Lastly, the Loveable Moogle Style outfit will bring you the Moogle Queen Garb, Moogle Shield and the Moogle Stick Weapon – let us know if you find this cute.
Those of you who have been waiting for Lightning Returns Final Fantasy 13 in US and EU will have to wait until the second week of February next year before they can actually try any of the mentioned stuff.
