Raven’s Cry Game by Dark Pirate is Still Alive, Coming in May, 2014

From the depths, Raven’s Cry emerges, after a long period of absence. Publisher Topware Interactive announced that this game is still set to release and gets the exact date of May 7th, 2014.

Originally, the game featuring piracy themes was set to launch in the holiday season of 2012. It was later pushed back to October 2013. Hopefully, third time is the charm for the dark and gritty project from Topware.

In Raven’s Cry, players take on the role of Christopher Raven. He’s a man set out or revenge, which is the only thing that motivates him. The developers wanted to make sure that at no point in the story gamers would think they’re playing the hero. Christopher is exclusively a bad guy.

This adventure sets its sights on the Caribbean high times of pirate life. Here, our villainous protagonist will need to amass a crew, a ship and other necessary resources. Throughout travels, it will be possible to acquire information that brings Christopher closer to his revenge and that by any means necessary.

Gameplay will have plenty of combat sections, which get enhanced with role-playing elements. Characters can upgrade their weaponry, skills and ships. Since Christopher has a hook for a hand, it will also be possible to gore anyone unfortunate enough to cross you.

Raven’s Cry will release for PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
