Gameloft’s iOS and Android based racing game Asphalt 8: Airborne is now available on Windows 8 PC as well as Windows Phone 8. The release has come three months after the game originally released on other platforms.
This is only the second game in the Asphalt series to be released on Windows PC, the only other game being its predecessor Asphalt 7: Heat. Being the latest game in the 9 year old series, the release was made to coincide with the date when the first Asphalt game was launched.
“The best arcade racing game series reaches a new turning point! Perform dynamic, high-speed aerial stunts in an intense driving experience powered by a brand-new physics engine!” reads the game description on Windows Phone Store, where the game is available for purchase costing $1.
Other than that the Windows 8/Windows 8.1 version of Asphalt 8 has been priced higher at $2.
Along with dynamic new physics engine, the game will bring 47 playable cars including brands like Ferrari and Lamborghini – 80 percent of the cars are new. A total of nine tracks include places like Venice, Guiana & the Nevada Desert while two new modes namely Infected and Drift Gate will be playable too.
Simultaneous multiplayer games will support up to eight players while you can also test your skills in asynchronous games with friends.
