Square Enix Teases Tomb Raider Game for Next-Gen, It’s Official Now
Only yesterday, a listing on the Amazon Italy website had swarmed the internet with news regarding a next generation port of the Tomb Raider March reboot.
Naturally, the issue was probed into and Square Enix has released an official statement that clearly doesn’t deny the project’s existence – in fact asks us to look out for an announcement soon!
Obviously, the sighting was not the end of it; the publisher has hinted towards an announcement sometime in early December. The official statement reads:
“It’s so hard to keep a secret these days! We appreciate all of the enthusiasm; however we don’t have any details to share just yet. That said, we highly recommend you keep an eye on any major gaming events happening in early December.”
I am seeing the March’s Tomb Raider reboot by Crystal Dynamics to be announced for a PlayStation 4 version – and probably an Xbox One version too. This is so because although the Amazon listing only had PS4 in the platforms, it also had an unspecified platform listing which could only be Xbox One.
I think when they ask us to look out for early December, they are referring to next month’s VGX Awards.
What do you think?
