Mario Kart Arcade GP DX Making its Way to US Arcades

By   /   Nov 20, 2013

The third and the latest Mario Kart Arcade GP title, Mario Kart Arcade GP DX was released in Japan in July this year. The game is now going to get a US release later this year according to a post by Arcade Heroes.

This is the first news we have had about a western release of the coin operated game since the day it was originally announced by Namco Bandai in February.

The post also suggests that the game is being presented at the IAAPA 2013 trade show in Orlando. The attendants will be the first ones to get their hands on the game in the west.

Mario Kart Arcade GP DX features mechanics like under water racing and gliding among other features that were originally introduced in Mario Kart 7. A total of 10 courses will be playable where you can transform yourself into a tank if you wish to.

Some of the confirmed modes include returning modes like Grand Prix, Battle as well as new ones named Alter-Ego and Team.

The playable characters are not just Mario and Luigi, you can also play as Pac-Man and Don-Chan from Taiko Drum Master, Peach, Toad, Yoshi, Bowser, Wario, Waluigi, Bowser Jr. and Donkey Kong.

First shot of the cabinets that will be used in the United States have also been shared by the same post. These are the same that were used for Dead Heat Street Racing by Namco Bandai last year.
