The previously promised Berlin campaign will finally be heading for Shadowrun Returns in January next year but now will be released under the new name of Shadowrun: Dragonfall.
Dragonfall is going to be a full-blown expansion featuring a full-length campaign where “you and your team of runners get drawn into a treacherous conspiracy.” There will be new additions to the armory, including a deadly sniper rifle and grenade launcher; as well as new cyberwares for you to tackle the new enemies like gargoyles and fire drakes.
The expansion will also allow players to save their progress at any time and at any place during the game. This functionality will also be added to the original Shadowrun Returns “Dead Man’s Switch” campaign.
The game’s editor will see to some enhancements as well, including a “scripting system to better control lighting, tracking mission objectives in the main game UI, placing exploding barrels, and allowing players to input keypad passwords and custom text strings in conversations.”
Shadowrun: Dragonfall will be priced at $14.99 and release in January 2014 for PC, alongside the Shadowrun Campaign Pack. The campaign pack features the original game and also the Dragonfall expansion pack for $24.99. Those who backed the project will get the Dragonfall expansion for free.
