Resogun Humanist Guide – How To Save All Humans

Resogun
They say games encourage violence and aggression, but for many of us they also encourage the will to do good for humanity. This ‘little’ act of benevolence can also be performed in Resogun, where you can save humans trapped by enemy “Keepers”, if you wish to.

Yeah, it’s optional, but it also has major benefits; saving humans will grant you with rewards like bombs and sometimes even extra lives. Now that is something you just cannot ignore.

Resogun Humanist – How To Save Humans

Unfortunately, saving humans in Resogun isn’t a very simple task. It takes quite a bit of effort and risk to do so, especially on higher difficulties like Veteran (let’s not even talk about Master).

In order to save one, you need to defeat various Keeper enemies that appear on the map. These special enemies are distinguishable by their green glow, or crosshairs (we’ll get to those ones later).

Once you have eliminated the keepers, the cage is opened, and the human can come out. You then need to immediately go down and pick up the human. Once the human is in the ship, you will need to take it to one of the two green escape pods to save it.

Associated Trophy
The associated trophy with saving humans is Humanist, which will require you to save all the humans in the game.

Humans Dying

It’s not all that simple though, because there are many complications that are involved. One of these is that the human can run, and be abducted again by a Keeper. Or he/she will continue running till it dies by falling of the map. Not good.

Here are the various ways a human can die:

A Keeper escapes before you can kill them all (even a single one in a group will cause it to die)

  • You die while carrying a human
  • The human is abducted again by a Keeper after being freed
  • It falls off a gap in the floor or into water
  • Certain Keepers (with crosshairs) need to be killed in a specific order; if you do it wrong, the human will die
  • Certain cages need to be opened with a multiplier score. If your multiplier isn’t enough, the human will die

Keepers

There’s a large variety of Keepers that need to be dealt with, and not all of them are forgiving. It can be difficult to locate them in the midst of battle, or in the case of some Keepers, you can accidentally kill them in the wrong order and it kills the human.

Because of this reason, you shouldn’t try to attempt obtaining the trophy in your first couple of play-throughs. Start the trophy hunt only when you have played through the 5 levels multiple times, and understand the types of Keepers that you will be facing.

Following are the conditions you need to meet in order to save all humans:

Acis

Keeper Wave #7
Requirement: 3x Multiplier (Experienced) / 2x Multiplier (Rookie)

Keeper Wave #9
Requirement: 4x Multiplier (Experienced) / 3x Multiplier (Rookie)

Ceres

Keeper Wave #8
Requirement: Destroy Marked Keepers in Order

Keeper Wave #9
Requirement: 4x Multiplier (Experienced) / 3x Multiplier (Rookie)

Decima

Keeper Wave #4
Requirement: Destroy Marked Keepers in Order

Keeper Wave #6
Requirement: Destroy Marked Keepers in Order

Keeper Wave #9
Requirement: 3x Multiplier (Experienced) / 2x Multiplier (Rookie)

Febris

Keeper Wave #2
Requirement: Destroy Marked Keepers in Order

Keeper Wave #9
Requirement: 4x Multiplier (Experienced) / 3x Multiplier (Rookie)

Mefitis

Keeper Wave #7
Requirement: 3x Multiplier (Experienced) / 2x Multiplier (Rookie)

Keeper Wave #8
Requirement: 4x Multiplier (Experienced) / 3x Multiplier (Rookie)

Special Keeper Wave (Only appears after saving every other human)
Requirement: Destroy Marked Keepers in Order

Note. Whenever marked keepers appear you should only target the keeper with cross-hairs. If you destroy any other keeper, it will kill the human. After destroying the marked keeper, target will move on to another and this way, you can destroy them in order.

Multipliers

As if Keepers weren’t enough of an issue, certain cages require a prerequisite multiplier score before they can be opened, and it’s not even a bit forgiving. If you enter the area without the required multiplier, there are no second chances, and the human will die instantly.

This, like the Keepers, can be a troublesome factor if you are attempting to get the Humanist trophy in your first or second playthrough. Make sure you recognize which one of the cages has this requires.
