Egosoft Apologetic for Buggy X Rebirth Launch, Hard at Work to Fix it

By   /   Nov 18, 2013

People who picked up X Rebirth when it launched will probably be dealing with some unfortunate bugs, glitches and crashes. Egosoft is aware of the issue and has issued an apology while saying that they’re working as hard as they can to fix the game and have also compiled a list of the problems on their forums.

The forums themselves are undergoing some trouble due to the heavy load they’re experiencing. Here’s the official statement:

First of all let me start by saying that I am very sorry if you personally experience problems with our new game. We are doing what we can to fix these issues as fast as possible. Below I will try to summarise some tips and inform you about our plans for updates and patches based on the feedback from threads in this forum and the egosoft community (which is unfortunately currently broken under the heavy load).

It would probably be best to avoid the game for a while until they’ve got it properly working again. These things tend to happen when you’re unable to make the deadline and have to go gold with a broken product.

X Rebirth is a single-player space trading and combat game and is the sixth installment in the X universe adventure video game series, following X3: Albion Prelude (2012), as the new sequel to the last game title. The game will take place in a universe that is active even when the player is not present, involving simulated trade, combat, piracy, and other features. Cool stuff.
