Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Will Go Back To MGS1 In Exclusive Playstation Mission
Konami continues to trickle in new information for Metal Gear Solid V, with some exclusive content. For the first of two planned titles, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, the company will team up with Sony to give its consoles a brand new old mission.
It sounds confusing, but the exclusive content called the MGS1 Deja-vu mission will bring players back to the dawn of the game’s series on the Sony platform. This content will be available for both Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 owners.
As the name suggests, the Deja-vu addition will warp players to the first Metal Gear Solid. Through a series of flashbacks, gamers will relive moments from that game and try to reproduce the events that went down there.
The mission will stick to the PSOne release’s low polygon count, which is bound to be a stark contrast with next generation consoles. Early Playstation model work was rather blocky. Faces were painted on more than anything.
To bridge the gap between old and new, the flashbacks will come with the new iteration’s weather elements. Iconic characters will return in this event. We really hope you have to do that controller thing with Psycho Mantis. You know what thing we mean. Anything with Raven’s lamenting would also be acceptable.
Upon meeting the criteria, the MGS1 Deja-vu mission will allow players to look like the classic Solid Snake in the Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes universe.
Previously, Konami announced that Ground Zeroes would be a prelude to the main game.
To get people ready for Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain and its new open world environment, its prologue will gradually move from linear progression to more complex missions. Ground Zeroes is currently headed to consoles in Spring of 2014.
