The Last of Us: Left Behind Single-Player DLC Announced

The new Uncharted wasn’t the only title Naughty Dog teased during the PlayStation 4’s launch event. Their recent offerings for ‘The Last of Us’ will now add a new DLC called ‘Left Behind’ which follows Ellie and Riley Abel, a survivor from the miniseries ‘American Dreams’.

While the previous DLCs for the game focused on its multiplayer component, Left Behind is going to be a single-player expansion pack which takes place while Ellie is attending a military boarding school in the Boston quarantine zone. This is prior to when she met Joel and the events of ‘The Last of Us’ that followed.

According to a post on the PlayStation blog, the new DLC will focus on the bond between Ellie and Riley “through a series of events that will forever change both of their lives.” Unfortunately players won’t be able to play as Riley and will take control of Ellie throughout the campaign.

Left Behind is part of the game’s Season pass and is slated for release in early 2014.
