Insomniac Game Artist Ana Kessel Looks for Financial Aid

Insomniac Games, the developer behind Ratchet & Clank series and Fuse hired Ana Kessel as a Graphics internee some time back.

The internee was tragically involved in a hit and run accident a couple of days ago on Monday resulting in the 20 year old girl’s leg being amputated. In order to help her with the finances, a fundraiser has been set up, and is open to public, GameInformer has reported.

This news website has reported that Ana was driven over while she was driving her scooter across Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Raleigh when she got hit by an unlicensed driver.

The driver was later arrested and identified as Michael Deontea Jones, 23, who has now been charged with felony hit and run as well as for driving without a license. Jones is now under detention at Wake County Detention Center.

According to the fundraiser, Kessel will be facing dire financial situations owing to her recent university bills and loans, having lost a limb; it might get tough for her to recover the money on her own.

In order to help her through it a 150,000 USD target has been set which is actually triple the amount for which the fundraiser was actually started.

Generous donators have managed to contribute a little above $25,000 as of now. In case you are feeling like being charitable, go ahead and pinch in your donations at
