Rayman Legends Goes Next-Gen in February 2014
Following a successful release on current-gen consoles this past September, Ubisoft is now looking forward to release Rayman Legends for next-gen consoles next year.
The news was revealed in a financial call today when Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot confirmed that Rayman Legends would be available on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in February 2014. He also revealed that the game has sold nearly one million units across current platforms to date and that sales are expected to rise greatly once the next-gen versions are released.
Guillemot believes that the launch of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is going to further increase the demand of games in the industry.
“The PS4 and Xbox One will be released in a few days’ time and will be a new driving force for the industry,” Guillemot said in a statement. “We are confident in our capacity to rise to the short-term challenges posed by the transition phase, thanks to the very high quality of our games, which, combined with the upcoming arrival of the next-generation consoles and the traditional ramp-up of sales during the Christmas season will trigger positive momentum towards the end of the year.”
Rayman Legends is available now on the PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii U and Vita.
