Regardless of whether you enjoyed Blizzard’s new take on their Diablo franchise with Diablo III, the latest installment has managed to cross 14 million sales.
The news was revealed by Blizzard Entertainment president Mike Morhaim during a post-earnings financial call where marked the achievement since the game’s release back in May of last year. The said figure includes all versions of the game and the news comes comes shortly after the developer released the game for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 last September.
In comparison Blizzard revealed earlier this year that Diablo III had achieved 12 million in sales. The company didn’t offer a sales breakdown between the PC and consoles versions, so it’s uncertain as to how good the consoles version did.
Diablo III is currently in development for the PlayStation 4 but Blizzard has yet to announce a release date. In other news the company recently revealed the first expansion pack for the game called “Reaper of Souls” which is in development for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
