Minecraft and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim are two names that have successfully carved their names in video game history for bringing an extraordinary world to life. Individually they are powerhouses but what happens when they combine their worlds for the greater good?
That’s for us to find out as publisher Bethesda Softworks and developer Mojang announce a cross-over to bring the world of Skyrim into Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition. A tentative release date has not been announced but a Skyrim mash-up pack will be released for Minecraft on the Xbox 360 soon. The said pack will bring forth items, characters, settings, and even story lines from the realm of Skyrim in the iconic block format.
Mojang has confirmed that there will be a total of 40 character skins included based on Skyrim characters, and a prebuilt world will allow players to visit familiar places from Bethesda’s fantasy game. Almost everything, including menus and title screens, will be overhauled using a new Skyrim theme. Furthermore 20 pieces of music taken from the open-world’s score will also be included.
More information regarding the expansion pack will be released soon but for now Skyrim fans would be thrilled to know that Minecraft world will have areas based on Whiterun, Riverwood and Bleak Falls Barrow.
