It has been quite a bumpy ride for Rockstar Games, Grand Theft Auto Online and the GTA fans alike. Whether we like it or not, the release was a fiasco on many levels – accept it; but that doesn’t mean Rockstar is not working to set things right. An update is expected early next week and will shortly be followed by the much anticipated Stimulus Package.
Rockstar Games’ website rolled out another post yesterday, this time announcing the release date of the update in question. It also explained that the title update 1.05 will smooth out player progress loss issues. Let’s just hope it doesn’t get delayed once more.
GTA Stimulus Package was announced as a consolation prize for all the players who have faced the bugs in the game; 500,000 GTA$ are to be distributed out to all the players in two installments. The post also confirmed that once update 1.05 has done its mojo, the Stimulus Packs will be given out too.
The post reads:
“Currently, we expect the next title update (1.05) addressing player progress loss issues to be available sometime early next week. Following that, we hope to deliver everyone’s GTA$ Stimulus Package before the end of next week.”
For one it is a good thing that the stimulus has been delayed, because what good would it do if the bugs that delete all your progress were still there. Fingers crossed for the update to rid GTA Online from all the glitches.
“We have a few more tweaks and fixes to make in a new title update that will hit sometime next week and then we will distribute the cash,” the post continues.
Are you playing the online version these days or waiting until the update sets things right first?
