Recently, Sony Rewards System was introduced that would allow you to earn points and spend them on other Sony products. It is a similar offer to the beta that was introduced in United States some time ago, just that this time around it is going to last.
The PlayStation Blog has detailed features of the system that has simply been titled “Sony Rewards,” it looks like there could be a lot to take away from this.
According to Sony, “the Sony Rewards Program connects you to all things Sony. With your free membership, you can earn points for doing the things you already love to do, and you can use those points to get great PlayStation and Sony products and experiences.”
Once you have earned some points, your options will range from anything available on the Sony Rewards catalogue or the Sony Store i.e. PlayStation games, hardware, memberships, movies, music, other Sony products and even PlayStation Store Cash.
To quantify it, if you spend one dollar in the PlayStation Store, Sony Entertainment Network Store or Sony Store it earns you one point; when you reach 1000 points it gives you $10 in PlayStation Store Credit.
If you sign up to the scheme before November 12 you will be awarded 100 points for free and an additional 250 points for purchasing a yearlong PlayStation Plus subscription in November. Other than this you get up to 270 points for buying a PlayStation bundle and 400 points for uploading movie ticket stubs onto the Rewards website.
Do let us know if you find the offers worth it.
