The next-gen era of video games begins next month and now is the time for both Sony and Microsoft to go on a rampage, creating hype in the public for their respective consoles.
Yesterday, Microsoft’s Major Nelson posted a preview of their new TV commercial which proposes an “Invitation” for all to come join the Xbox One in playing a whole new world of games. According to the post made on his blog, the ad has begun airing on television this weekend.
The live-action commercial features references to upcoming Xbox One games Titanfall, FIFA 14, Forza Motorsport 5, Dead Rising 3, and Ryse: Son of Rome. There’s also an appearance from Star Trek‘s Spock, which was a pretty awesome moment.
Recently Microsoft confirmed that Xbox One Party Chat will support up to eight players at launch. Hence, allowing that many users to communicate at once while playing a game. It’s interesting to note here is that Microsoft didn’t quite mention that this will be the maximum number of supported parties. There’s a chance that for multiplayer games like Battlefield 4 which has 64 players running around, Microsoft bumps up that number from 8 to more.
The Xbox One launches next month on November 22, 2013 for $499.
