We heard about timed exclusive content for the PlayStation 4, a platform that has admittedly lost some of its most titanic exclusives (My inner PS fanboy grieves for the loss of the MGS series). Well now we’re seeing some news about that content for Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed 4.
Sony has just released a promotional video that showcases this content, which you can watch up in the header. The US version of the trailer, below, contains small print that reveals this DLC is exclusive to PlayStation for a six month period. Curiously enough, the UK version of the trailer does not show this text.
The timed exclusive content for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag’s consist of an older Aveline de Grandpré, who was the protagonist of Assassin’s Creed: Liberation, a game that came out for the PlayStation Vita. It is also written by Jill Murray, who was the writer for Liberation.
Unfortunately, we don’t have any information on the kind of timed exclusive content that will be coming for Watch Dogs. Ubisoft seems to be keeping it’s cards close to the chest.
The content should come to PC and Xbox as well, after the six months of exclusivity are up. However, there’s no guarantee that it will. After all, the PS3-exclusive Benedict Arnold missions for Assassin’s Creed 3 never made it to any other platform.
