Dark Souls 2 beta began on October 12 and was joined in by around 5000 people.
Yes, the early impressions were those of a comparatively easier gameplay but there is still hope and the anticipation has gone nowhere. This time around, gamers who have subscribed to PlayStation Plus are in luck because Namco Bandai is providing them with the beta.
A post on the PlayStation Blog Europe outed the news yesterday along with the beta version announcement of Destiny of Spirits which will be running for a whole week starting today.
So here goes Darks Souls fans, all you need to do is be there on Sunday between 7am to 10am GMT for the worldwide online server test by Namco Bandai. It is a very short period of time but look at the upside, its open to all, no strings attached.
The beta is currently downloadable from the “Exclusives” section of the PlayStation Plus Store and as an advice I would tell you to download it before hand so that you don’t waste any gameplay time when the test run starts on October 27. If you miss out on the timings they have allotted, you will miss out on the beta completely.
“Join the dark journey with this beta and experience overwhelming enemy encounters, diabolical hazards, and the unrelenting challenge that only From (Software) can deliver,” reads the post.
Dark Souls 2 is a cursed character led open world action RPG which will serve as a sequel to the 2011 hit in the same genre, it is scheduled to be released on March 11 to Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
