It’s been about two months since the F2P tower-defense title – Plants vs. Zombies 2 made it to the Apple App Store. Since then the Android users have been feeling deprived but not anymore as the game has at last made it to the Google Play Store.
The delay also gave birth to some serious accusations like Electronic Arts’ Frank Gibeau was paid by Apple so as to bring in delay for the Android version. Both Apple and Popcap have regarded this as a false statement.
Popcap’s Tony Leamer clarified the allegations by saying that:
“If you look at the way PopCap develops games, we start with one platform and get it right.”
And clearly the iOS was the choice this time around. The Android version of the game, however, requires an Android enabled device with Android v.2.3 or higher, 1GB of RAM, and ARMv7 of higher processor running at least at 1.00 GHz.
Following the release on Android device, Jalapeno, which is a deadly in-game explosive is available for 65% off only for this week.
