Titanfall Release Date Confirmed, Collector’s Edition Detailed

By   /   Oct 23, 2013

Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall stands shoulder to shoulder with many of the other AAA titles if anticipation is to be considered. This one is certainly going to stuff up some of the wallets and make others lose weight when it releases in March.

The official Titanfall release date has been announced through a post on the game’s website. North America will get the game on the date we already expected, March 11 while Europe will get the game on Thursday, March 13.

Thursday is a pretty curious day for game releases in the United Kingdom and it is probably for the same reason that a Respawn Entertainment representative has told Eurogamer that the release date for United Kingdom is actually March 14 – the official website makes no reference to this as of this moment.

“Crafted by one of the co-creators of Call of Duty and other key designers behind the Call of Duty franchise, Titanfall delivers a brand-new online experience that combines fluid, fast-paced multiplayer action with heroic, set-piece moments found in traditional campaign modes” reads the official post.

I am most certain that when the developer boasts about “winning over fans with its (Titanfall’s) thrilling, dynamic first-person action gameplay featuring elite assault pilots and agile, heavily-armored, 24-foot titans” it won’t be doubted.

Accompanying the release date announcement was the confirmation of a Collector’s Edition and this might come as a shock to you in a manner. Obviously you would want to get your hands on the 18” Atlas Titan Statue, Titanfall Exclusive Art Book, Atlas Titan Schematic Poster and the game itself in one package but what will shock you is the price tag that reads a whopping $249.99!

Yes, you read that right, they are charging the worth of two and a half Ouya consoles here. Nevertheless, the Atlas Titan Statue comes with “diorama and battery-powered LED lighting” if that’s any consolation. The art book is also going to be a thick volume bringing you “rare concept art” spanning 190 pages and the poster will be a symbol of “intricate details and futuristic design” in full size.

The game is available for pre-order on the website and Amazon among other retailers at $59.99. Titanfall will be released to Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
