A press release dated yesterday came up from Electronic Arts which has, sadly for some, announced that The Sims 4 Release has been delayed until the fall of 2014.

The game was initially scheduled to be released in the first half of the next year which was supposed to be one of the much good news about the title along with it being an offline game unlike the SimCIty . The press release didn’t mention the reason for the delay probably because they didn’t take the early 2014 release date as an officially announced date.

Vice President and General Manager of The Sims Studio, Rachel Franklin’s official statement regarding the delay ensues the usual gratitude that accompanies all the delay stories like these:

“The Sims franchise has the best fans in the world and their passion and enthusiasm is at an all-time high. Those millions of voices will fuel our development process, helping The Sims 4 to be the most ambitious and the best game our studio has ever made. We can’t wait to see our fans reaction when The Sims 4 comes out in fall 2014.”

EA has also announced that everyone who pre-orders the game will from the official website will be awarded with the Limited Edition that brings The Sims 4 Life of the Part Digital Content with it.

Preorders are being taken on the game’s official website right now for a price of $59.99. The Digital Deluxe version, an Origin exclusive is also available right now for a slightly higher $69.99 which you will be paying to get the Up All Night digital content as well as all the announced and unannounced extras.
