Just in case you haven’t had your fill of Nazi Zombies just yet, take a look at Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army 2, which just got a release date announced by developer Rebellion. The game will be coming out this Halloween, on October 31st.
To accompany the announcement, Rebellion has also released a new trailer alongside some screenshots of the game. CEO Jason Kingsley also came out to say some words concerning the new assets in the game:
“We wanted to twist the occult horror from Nazi Zombie Army into something more nightmarish, more insane. There’s been a huge focus on making the levels more intimidating and the enemies even more grotesque and challenging. The first game really tested players’ abilities to work as a team in co-op, but also allowed solo gamers to hone their skills by multiplying the number of zombies in the campaign. Make no mistake, if you’re looking for shooter that puts your back to the wall, Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army 2 has got you covered.”
Nazi Zombie Army 2 depicts the same tried and tested plot covered in other WW2 zombie games such as Black Ops. The basic gist of it is that Hitler has unleashed a plague upon Europe to turn the tide of the war when he was losing. You’ll be playing as part of a squad that has been sent to Berlin in order to acquire the artifacts that were used in the summoning.
Nazi Zombie Army 2 is currently available for pre-order through Steam and Rebellion’s Gamestore. Pre-order customers will get 20% off the game’s $14.99 price. They are also considering the possibility of a PS4 and Xbox One release.
