Japan Gets Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Special Edition in December
Just as holidays draw near Konami knows just what it needs to do to make the hack and slash lovers of Japan gleam with glee. A special Edition of the Metal Gear spin off Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be heading towards Japan on December 5.
The publisher announced through the official website that the game will be disc based as well as available for download. From the looks of its contents, I can clearly say that it’s a retail version of the previously released Ultimate Edition which came in digital copies only.
If you decide to spend your dimes on the Special Edition, what you will get apart from the full game and all of its post release downloadable content is a silver jacket to bring the disc to you with pride.
The aforementioned downloadable content includes Snake Soul Wooden Sword weapon Jetstream, Blade Wolf and 30 VR missions to use the weapon in, five of Raiden’s costumes including Metal Gear Solid 4 Raiden, Armor Raiden, Inferno Armor Raiden, Commando Armor Raiden and Cyborg Ninja – a lot of armor there!
Oh and last but not the least, when you install the game on your PlayStation 3 it will also give you a Metal Gear Rising theme for your console.
The price shared through the official announcement is 2480 Japanese Yen which roughly equal 25 US Dollars.
Sadly for all the gamers who would have wanted to get this package in places other than Japan will be disappointed as so far Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Special Edition has only been announced for Japan.
Same goes for the Xbox 360 users – Japanese or not – because the game was a PlayStation 3 exclusive in Japan.
