So we are down to less than a month of countdown for the PlayStation 4’s release date. This of course takes a lot of our attention towards the juicy launch titles that it will bring; but that doesn’t mean titles like Infamous: Second Son don’t get to make it to the news simply because they are to be released a little later.
We do know that Infamous: Second Son will release in the first quarter of 2014, but what we have learnt recently is that Sucker Punch Productions will be giving us a Limited Edition and a Collector’s Edition for the game too.
The first of the two upgraded versions of the game i.e. the Limited Edition has been announced to boost the preorders for everyone who places an order before the game is released will get an exclusive downloadable content along with a foil game cover.
The DLC which is titled Cole’s Legacy acts as a bridge between the events of when Infamous 2 ends and the start of Infamous: Second Son and everyone who completes the story in it will be rewarded with Cole’s infamous jacket. Oh and the only way to get this content is by preordering – it is now available for $59.99.
“Cole MacGrath’s actions in New Marias set in motion a chain of events leading to the now forceful occupation of Seattle by the oppressive Department of Unified Protection. Cole’s Legacy bridges this gap in time with a series of missions Delsin Rowe must complete that reveal unique insights into how the world of inFAMOUS Second Son came to be” reads the PlayStation Blog.
For the collector’s glee, the other special offer i.e. the Collector’s Edition will let you get your hands on the full retail copy of the game along with a cover artwork exclusive to the Collector’s Edition, a replica of protagonist Delsin’s beanie, a set of 8 pins from Delsin’s in game vest, Delsin’s Legendary in game vest, a Department of Unified Protection Patch, vinyl decals and of course Cole’s Legacy DLC.
The Collector’s Edition has been priced at $79.99.
I for one am planning to get the exclusive DLC by whatever means even if the rest of the material didn’t get me jumping with excitement. What about you?
