WWE 2K14: New Mode Allows You to End The Undertaker’s Undefeated Streak

By   /   Oct 14, 2013

The Undertaker has been showcased as one of the most dominant superstars in WWE. The dead man has participated in 21 of the yearly WrestleMania events and has managed to win them all, creating an undefeated streak that only grows stronger with each year.

In light of that 2K Sports has decided to include a new game mode in WWE 2K14 which gives players the opportunity to play as the Undertaker and defend his streak against other stars. Else if you’re feeling lucky, you can also opt to go against the Undertaker and try to break his streak. However, the developer warns the defeating the Phenom is not going to be an easy task.

The ‘Defeat the Streak’ mode is going to offer a great challenge to players who are under the assumption that wrestling games are just too easy. Going against the Undertaker means that he can kick out of multiple finishers, make comebacks without warning and perform special moves on the fly that will take opponents by surprise. To beat him, players will have to first master the game itself and only the most elite of players will manage to take him down.

Defend the Streak mode also rates your performance, particularly how long you can last in the match. The defence mode is the return of the Slobberknocker match type (also available as a regular exhibition match), and that means you play as Taker and face opponent after opponent one-on-one, with all damage carrying over from your previous match-up. It’s an unforgiving match, and any player that can top 21-0 in it should be proud.

WWE 2K14 launches on October 29, 2013 for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
