Battlefield 4 Second Assault DLC Confirmed for Xbox One Launch

EA has announced that ‘The Second Assault’ DLC pack for Battlefield 4 will be available on Xbox One when the console launches on November 22, 2013.

The pack brings back four popular Battlefield 3 maps which have now been “re-imaged” and revamped with the new Frostbite 3 engine for Battlefield 4. EA hasn’t mentioned if the maps will be identical or if they will feature a few extra additions. Taking into consideration the new Levolution technology, the maps probably will have been altered a bit to give it the new Battlefield 4 flavor.

The Second Assault DLC pack will be free for all Battlefield Premium members but currently there’s no detail on pricing for the regular players.

The DLC was announced as timed exclusive for Xbox One during Microsoft’s E3 press conference this summer. It’s unknown as to when the other platforms will receive the DLC but judging from past encounters, there is probably at least a month’s wait.

Battlefield 4 will release on October 29, 2013 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. The game is currently in open beta featuring the Siege of Shanghai map, along with Conquest and Domination game modes. The beta has been a rough ride with texture, stuttering and frame rate drops. DICE is now taking in all the feedback provided and fixing up the game.
