The PlayStation 3 exclusive title by Namco Bandai Games has been under intense development at Project Aces studios. This was evidenced by the 7 minute enthralling gameplay footages that were released recently.
Titled “Stonehenge” and “The Great Migration”, the trailers are approximately 5 minute and 2 minute long respectively and do great justice to the genre of combat flight simulators.
The first trailer, Stonehenge, gives a juicy chunk of low elevation combat where the pilot takes on railguns by flying dangerously low to the ground. Take my word for it, diving in and pulling out at the prefect time is going to require a great deal of precision and mastery when you are in the pilot seat.
The Great Migration on the other hand relays the more traditional dogfight sequences. Taking us from wild one on one fight to multiple enemies, this is as tight as it gets in air combat games.
Just as Namco Bandai told Kotaku a week ago, the game will have all the “elements that are important to fans from previous Ace Combat titles, including super weapons and hyper-real visuals.”
Ace Combat: Infinity was first revealed back in June and is supposed to follow the free to play game model when in releases to PlayStation 3 exclusively.
