The PlayStation 3’s firmware is getting some attention from Sony as a fresh update for the system is expected to launch this week. The update version 4.50 will bring some useful utility features and enhancements that many could possibly benefit from.
The update primarily focuses on improving the system updates downloading and Web Store purchases, making it more convenient for PSN users overall. In addition to this feature, users can transfer games from their PlayStation 3 to their PS Vita more easily.
The PlayStation Blog, which brings this news, has listed the following major features that come with the update:
- Auto download of system software updates has been expanded to support all PSN users.
- Auto download support of purchases made on the Web Store will be made available to all PSN users.
- New options for trophy privacy settings allow users to set which trophies are visible.
- Data can now be transferred from PS3 to PS Vita using wi-fi and ether
