A new upcoming patch for the free-to-play Warcraft card game, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, will bring “a wealth of bug fixes and quality of life improvements”, Blizzard Entertainment announced today.
Posting on the game’s official website, Blizzard revealed that upcoming changes would focus on balancing out the Rogues, Warriors and Priests classes. Currently there are various factors that when put together make one class a bit overpowered in certain scenarios. These will be leveled out in the next patch.
Additionally Blizzard is bringing major improvements to crafting and the game’s social features. “We’ve updated the UI for our crafting system, so making cards for your collection should be even easier than before,” Blizzard’s Christina “Zeriyah” Sims wrote on the site.
A release date of the update wasn’t mentioned but Blizzard did confirm that the update would also trigger the account wipe procedure. The company had already explained during the start of the beta that they would be testing out various cards and at some point they would do a complete wipe of all accounts in an effort to level the playing field.
We built this into our plan as we knew going into the beta that a number of cards were likely to emerge as overpowered and we also knew that we‘d make significant adjustments to the reward system and overall game progression.
