In celebration of their game, Gaijin Entertainment has released a brand-new CGI-trailer for War Thunder called “Heroes.”
The video depicts Gaijin’s vision of the game, showing off a full-scale online war with players manning aircrafts, ground vehicles and naval forces. War Thunder is said to be adding player controlled tank play in a special “Ground Forces” update in the near future, which will move the combat simulator one step closer to that goal.
War Thunder is a World War II themed MMO that is currently available only on the PC but will release as a launch title for the PlayStation 4 on November 15, 2013. The game offers “varied PvP-experiences where a host of aircrafts, ground vehicles, and naval forces are locked in full-scale global conflict over WWII theaters of war.”
Another feature recently announced was that post release, both the PlayStation 4 and PC versions of War Thunder will support cross-platform play. That essentially means that players on either platform can play against one another, regardless of the platform.
Developer Gaijin Entertainment has stated that cross-platform play is very important for War Thunder and is the only reason the game is not yet offered for the Xbox One.
