Ever wondered where would all your choices go when you switch from a previous version of the game to the other – or when you switch from the current generation console to the next generation console for that matter? BioWare has an answer for all the Dragon Age fans; it is called The Keep.
Knowing how the complex and detailed choices of players carry a lot of value for them and of course the future layout of their gameplay, developer BioWare has announced Dragon Age Keep. The feature will allow you to customize Thedas the way you see fit and carry the choices to Dragon Age Inquisition.
In words of executive producer Mark Darrah:
“How did you modify your Warden and Hawke? Who were your companions? Who did you choose to romance? Who rose to power, and who fell in defeat? What legacy did you leave?”
This is where this cloud based system comes in.
So The Keep is big, it will take in all the personalized elements of your previous games and let you start from where you left off in the previous version. Not just that, it will also help connecting the dots for areas where your decisions in one part of the game could and would impact the future story.
That is one side of the story, the other one is an abundance of lore stuff; The Keep will let you revisit the past for a refresher or learn where the world of Dragon Age has come from if you are a neophyte looking to put yourself in the game.
Darrah goes on to flaunt saying “an advantage of being in the cloud is that you can fully explore what-if scenarios, and become aware of events and consequences in our past games that you may not have known were possible.”
This could be an intelligent solution to an otherwise complex yet imminent problem for the time when Dragon Age Inquisition hits the market next year.
