PlayStation Plus is going to be a necessary requirement to play online when the PlayStation 4 rolls around in a couple of months, but it comes with benefits such as early beta or demo access, and of course the brilliant suite of free games that gets changed around on a monthly basis.
As we draw closer and closer to the days when we’ll need PlayStation Plus in order to play online, now is the best time to take a closer look at how much bang you’ll get for your buck.
First up is a little deal on PS Plus subscriptions; if you purchase a one year membership on the PlayStation Store then you’ll get an additional 90 days for free on top of the 12 months. That’s 15 months of online gametime for the price of 12! You get a bit of a discount when you bulk buy as well, so 12 months only cost £39.99, with the additional three months on top of that it’s only about £2.50 a month. Great value.
The biggest addition this month is Assassin’s Creed III to the games on demand list. This epic tale of vengeance and redemption will take you across the frontier of North America on the cusp of the American Revolution. This is the latest game in the Assassin’s Creed series and this is a great opportunity to play one of the best games in the series for free.
The Jak & Daxter games were some of my favourite adventure titles of the last generation of consoles, and now the trilogy is getting another life in the games on demand list. The entire trilogy will offer days of fun for any player.
Stealth Inc: A Clone in the Dark is the last addition to the games on demand list, and this delightfully sarcastic stealth title will surely keep you both occupied and highly frustrated at it.
