Yakuza Restoration Announced by Sega
Only ten days ago, Sega had hinted a “surprise Yakuza announcement” scheduled for the 18th of August. Standing true to their work they have made the call. The next episode in the Yakuza series titled Yakuza Ishin has been announced at “Yakuza Character General Election” by Sega.
Though it doesn’t trade perfectly as a “surprise” because having called it a surprise Yakuza announcement, Sega had made it quite evident. Nevertheless, translated into English Yakuza Ishin will be called Yakuza Restoration – reports Siliconera.
According to VG247 the word Restoration in the title might carry the theme of Meiji Restoration or the Kenmu Restoration periods from the Japanese history. We have learnt that more details on the gangster game will be out in the next edition of Famitsu Japan.
Yakuza is an open world action adventure game franchise that has earned repute among games that have been adapted into films i.e. Like a Dragon – feature film and Like a Dragon: Prologue – a video film.
Don’t get your hopes high yet, for the last version of the game named Yakuza 5 was released only in Japan last year with no overseas release – we shall have to wait a little more for solid news regarding that.
For now, here’s the promotional artwork that has been shared by Sega featuring Ryoma Sakamoto.
