By   /   Aug 16, 2013

In Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, aside from the main storyline, players can go about working on some side-quests, which are quite fun and challenging to complete and reward players with prizes and upgrades.

These side-quests are scattered throughout different locations and can be done during anytime while playing the game. For more help on Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, read our Badges Unlock, Items and Gear Unlock Guide.

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Side Quests

If you are bored with the main storyline, take these side quests for a change.

Hoskin Trading Quests
While traveling the Wakeport, Mario and Luigi will come across a male Hooskin who would want to propose a female but couldn’t do it as he would be a proper proposal gift. If you agree on helping the poor bloke, you will be provided with a lavish Zeekeeper in order to exchange it with something better.

Mario and Luigi will trade the Zeekeeper with a number of things. This is the order in which the things are traded/swapped with other things:

  1. Zeekeeper can be traded with a rare fruit in a shop nearby.
  2. The rare fruit for a Yoshi Egg in Hotel District.
  3. Yoshi Egg with a Photo of Peach in the Tour Center.
  4. Photo of Peach with a Book of Ruins.
  5. Book of Ruins with a Photo of Queen Bean.
  6. Photo of Queen Bean with a Lost Camera in a building in Hotel District.

The Lost Camera can be given to a Toad in order to retrieve some information about a bird burying something between Fountain and Umbrella.

When the Bros. dig it out, it turns out to be a Pi’illo’s Ring which Bros. give to the man and after a short cut-scene, Bros. are awarded with a Sap Hammer, Heart Bean DX, Really Wear, and a 1-UP Mushroom.

That’s not it!

If you talk to the man after taking all these things, he will tell you where to go next in Wakeport.

Based on the performance in the contest, players are either put in S rank, A rank or B rank. To get the S rank, player must score 800 points. Similarly to get A and B rank, players will have to score 500 and 200 points respectively.
