Tropico 5 Announced for 2014, Will Feature Competitive Multiplayer

Tropico 5 was just announced by Kalypso for a release in 2014 for the Xbox 360, PC and Mac.

Further details would be handed later but for now the developer confirmed the major new addition of co-operative and competitive multiplayer. The new gameplay options will allow players to work with up to three friends in building their very own cities in the same map. They can also go against three other friends in a battle of supremacy.

The main core gameplay of Tropico 5 will be more deeper and complex this time around. Hence challenging city-building veterans in new found options for trading, research, renovation and exploration.

The game will be available to play for the first time at Gamescom later this week. For now you can check out a teaser trailer that was released alongside the press release.
