The Assassin’s Creed games have progressively gotten better and better at the stealth portion of the series as it has gone on. You have the freedom to play the game how you want, whether you want to be a combat monster or if you want to sneak around, and both options are very important to the series.
Ashraf Ismail, the Game Director for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, has been putting together these in-depth videos that will walk you through the gameplay of the next Assassin’s Creed title, and the latest video shows you how the stealth will work in the new game.
This isn’t just a look at stealth gameplay though, this is also a great opportunity to see some of the drop-dead gorgeous settings that will make up the world of Assassin’s Creed IV. We get to see Edward Kenway as he sneaks across the Havana rooftops, and stealth around the Caribbean.
You also get a little look at what the underwater gameplay is going to be like. Once you’re submerged, you lose access to your weapons and tools which leaves you very vulnerable, and makes stealth an essential mechanic.
